Don’t Let Your Boss See Your Posting Times

Darren Rowse over at ProBlogger http://www.problogger.net/ has posed the question, If I had to start my blog again what would you have done differently? My first thought to that is nothing, my blog is doing great. But then I started thinking a little harder and came up with quite a few things. I run a network of blogs http://www.tf-media.com/, some of which are doing much better than others. But I only write for 3 blogs right now. But the first one I created was Home Studio Tips back in 2005, if I had to start that blog again I’d: * Start in 1995 * Spend less time staring at stats * Spend less time worrying about earnings * Spend more time with my family * Write funnier * Write more often * Quit worrying about everyone else * Talk shop with more geeks * More keyword research * More niche research * Play with my dog more often * I would block access to my blogs from my dayjob IP (ie, don’t let the boss see your posting times) That’s about it. Now I realize that it is not easy money, it is hard work. But, like I said, I feel like my blogs are heading in the right direction. I’m amazed at the success so far and I wouldn’t change that for the world.
