These are five of my favorite WordPress plugins. Matter of fact these are all I use.

Feed Copyrighter

This plugin puts a copyrighted message on all of your RSS feeds.

Recent Posts
http://www.coffee2code.com/wp-plugins/#customizablepostlistings
This puts a list of recent posts in your sidebar.

Google Sitemap Plugin
http://www.arnebrachhold.de/2005/06/05/google-sitemaps-generator-v2-fina...
This creates a Google friendly sitemap for WordPress.

Smart Update Pinger
http://www.daven.se/english/wp-plugins.html
This updates WordPress to only ping on new articles once.

Utopia
http://www.utopiamechanicus.com/
This changes your title bar and allows you to put Adsense between posts. That one can be a little tricky but it works great.

Give those a try, these are the only WordPress plugins that matter.

Smart Update Pinger

Nice of you to mention my plugin! Smart Update Pinger was just released in a “more WordPress 2.0-compatible” version (2.0). The old version worked most of the time on WP2, but not always — so make sure you upgrade! (Bonus features hidden within…)
