Getting Started
I've recently converted all of my WordPress sites into tightly niched social networking sites. Which I'm hoping will be more successful than just a blog. I'm hoping these sites can be a myspace for each particular niche.
The hard part is, getting things rolling. I have the sites built and I have a ton of content, but I just don't have warm bodies. Right now if you visit the site, it looks busy, until you go to the message board. Nothing happening. read more »

Guy Kawasaki did a very interesting thing. He grabbed a panel of six high school and college kids and asked them about the internet, myspace, email, cell phones, video games, blogs, wikis, rss, advertising, etc.

Research keywords using Wordtracker
Research ads on Overture
Buy a domain. Wait until the DNS resolves
Login to Cpanel
Create a subdomain (test.test.com)
Create an add on domain point it to subdomain you just created (test.com)
Click on Fantastcio
Click on WordPress, new installation
Point it to test.com
Fill in user info (Keep track of what you enter)
Finish installation
Copy theme and plugins
Login to wpadmin activate theme
Copy ping list
